This is crazy ! I love taking my dog to beach and park this will be a shame, when dogs love to have a run round.

An outright ban hurts everyone with a dog, which is a huge number of constituents and tourists. Some clearer thinking and tougher penalties for those who flout the law would be better than a ban for those who are just trying to enjoy life with their per

Totally wrong. You need tourism and will allienate many tourists who will not visit the anti dog friendly Isle of Wight.

Keep the island dog friendly, another joke decision by the iow council

I think in some respects respects this could be a good idea however if your dog is perfectly friendly then I don’t see the point in making a law.

Not all dog owners are irresponsible, the ones that aren’t give us all a bad name, this ban is unfair and unjust

Ridiculous sweeping proposal attempting to control the small minority of dog owners who don’t keep an eye on their dogs. Also walking dogs and antisocial drinking is absolutely not the same thing.

This will do untold harm to the tourist business. Why come to the isle of wight when you can go to much dog friendly places like Cornwall? If your going to bandogsthen pleases ban the horses who fowl the beaches with no regard for any one and no need for the owners to clean up after them like the majority of dog walkers do.

I think this is extremely saddening. The Isle of Wight is the most dog friendly island you will come across and if the council goes through with this it will all be stripped away.

Pets must be fully under control and the owners must clean up. £100 fine for non-compliance. Pets reduce stress.

If this happens this will destroy our tourists coming to visit our lovely island , as our island very , very much is an attraction to dog lovers

Why would you want to do this? Dogs bring such joy to so many people. If it’s because of dog mess then prosecute the offenders.
