Stop the IOW council bringing in the ban of dogs in public spaces

Public places are for all. Dogs are family members and must be allowed to share their family members in all outdoor activities. Dog walkers represent tge largest percentage of people visiting parks all year round. They pay their takes, their council taxes and therefore have a human right to use outdoor places with their fogs

Feeding seagulls, banned because they might defecate in the sea and pollute it. No dogs in public places.... Lunatics are running the asylum.

If there are enough dog poo bins arounds there is no reason why responsible owners can't take their dogs wherever

Dogs have more rights than councillors to roam the land

We have been coming to the Isle of Wight for over 45 years with the dogs as they are part of our family. Won’t come if they are stopped.

You will lose much needed visitors as it is well known to be a dog friendly Island

He proposed act is an abomination, dogs are part of British culture and part of many families. How this could even be considered shameful. I’m completely against this proposal.

Disgraceful IOW Council. How about concentrating on moving the homeless men off the benches and cliff path with all their rubbish and beer cans! Leave our dogs alone!

I always bring my dogs to the IOW for our annual holiday. It is such a lovely island. The current bans are quite adequate. Like the part at Appley beach that is for dogs, which works.

I would find this ban grossly unfair.

I think this is a totally ridiculous idea by the council. They are making cut backs but are willing to spend money on a public consultation and if these measures ever came in it would cost a fortune for signage and who the hell would police it. Totally ridiculous

Dog owners are the life blood of small business in the winter months. Address the problem accordingly. Banning is not the answer. Example irresponsible car owners with no tax and insurance does not lead to a ban on all motorists.

its a responsible dog owners job is to walk and exercise there dogs, the whole outside is a public place. Just respect others that are using parks, beaches etc its a decent thing to do is clean up after them.
