This will seriously affect the holiday makers who come over with their family, of whom a pet dog would be a member of. There are many dog owners on the island, most of whom are responsible owners. I think more dog wardens would be better than banning dogs from public places.

Why should RESPONSIBLE dog owners get penalised and punished as a result of the minority selfish irresponsible dog owners. More needs to be done to catch the IRRESPONSIBLE owners and penalise them. Even walking dogs on leads in these proposed restricted/banned areas is better than no walks at all!!

Designated on and off lead areas would be a better idea if done with some thought. The real issue is irresponsible dogs owners not clearing up mess - Banning dogs will not solve this. the irresponsible people will just ignore it and carry on

I have been coming on holiday to the island for 66 years and have 4 dogs. Whilst I don’t bring them with me I do enjoy meeting dogs and their owners everywhere I go on the island including the beaches.
