Stop the IOW council bringing in the ban of dogs in public spaces

Just do it!

This is so unfair... you can’t ban humans from public places so why ban innocent dogs!

Unfortunately not all dog owners are responsible citizens who pick their dog's waste and you certainly can't blame the tourists because it happens all the year round.

Please don't bring in this act. I love walking my dog on the beaches.

We pride ourselves on being a dog friendly island!

Absolutely!

This will be a big blow to tourism as many people will not come with dogs if there are less dog friendly areas. We holiday with our dog and always check for dog walking areas before we decide to go anywhere. On top of this, Islanders also need somewhere to let their dogs run free. A clamp down on people not clearing up after there dogs would be more beneficial than this.

Banning dogs in public places will only affect the honest people who already abide by the rules, pick up after their dogs etc, the ones that don’t now are really not going to change their ways just because another rule has changed. Don’t tar us all with their brush Please.

My dog absolutely loves the beach and meeting new people, please do not ban dogs from being social animals

Its not the dogs who foul it's the humans. Take a look at the dogs and then take a look at yourselves. Be ashamed of yourselves

This will kill the holiday industry as we are supposedly the friendly isle let alone all the responsible dog owners around making them victims to the councils greed

This is suposed to be a dog friendly Island for Holiday makers is the Council trying to turn them away now then?

Please stop this ban, there are better ways to work with the dog owning community.

Bring in a law that dogs can go in cemeterries, playgrounds, must be on a lead. As for beaches, there must be beaches set aside for dog "walking" without a lead

This is not fair on the animal to have a good run on the field and beaches this helps stimulate their brain.

Dogs deserve to enjoy the beach just as much as their responsible owners !

Perhaps if the Councillors received less money in allowances as mentioned in this week's County Press, there would be more money available to spend on emptying poo bins!
