It is ridiculous to think that a simple pleasure like taking my dogs for a walk along a beach, that I have done responsibly my whole life, will suddenly become a crime. Crazy council !!

I have been planning to move to the Island as I've always loved the place. But if this legislation goes through there's no way I will want to live there. If my dogs are banned from everywhere and can't have a great life then it's no longer the place for us as a home or for a holiday.

Absolutely ridiculous I hope this is fake news as this is tantamount to racism, I don't own a dog but can't imagine why anyone would feel the need to ban them from these areas!!!!

Ridiculous, responsible residents and tourists with dogs clean up after them. Indeed many of the beaches where dogs are banned in the summer are covered in litter and other rubbish left by beachgoers so will they be penalised too.

Outrageous. We visit several times a year with our 2 dogs. Always in October so we can go on the beaches. It will be awful if they get there way.

Dogs need off lead exercise . Dog owners pay council tax like any other house owner why should our freedoms be compromised and poor dogs be restricted to on lead Walsh and no access to beaches. Also what about tourist trade many people bring their dogs for holidays and expect to have fulfilling walks with their canine companions.

NO PROBLEM. IT IS GOOD FOR THE I.O.W SO THE TOURISTS CAN COME AND BRING THEIR DOGS ON HOLIDAY.

Being a dog owner I accept the responsibility of having ones pets on leads in certain areas. The proposed beach and cemetery bans seem somewhat extreme and excessive.

By imposing such a Draconian measure will have two detrimental effects.
1. If dogs are not excercised, they become frustrated and unhealthy.
2. Restricting people's ability to enjoy family holidays is a breach of article 8 of ECHR, so they will have to think very carefully about implemeting this measure or a legal challenge could follow.

This is completely wrong and will detract from our lovely place to live and make us less appealing to visitors. Work instead on getting people to clean up their dog poo (I am a dog owner).

Dog walking is a wonderful Island pastime, good for our economy,, good for cafe and restaurants, good for our health. We do need to prevent the few who do not clear up and foul public places. Protect healthy Dog walking.
