Do the council really think they can stop people from walking their dogs in places which are supposedly 'banned'? Another Kafkaesque proposal from a totally unfit council.

This can't happen! What does the council want, to lose all the tourists who bring dogs over here. The island has thousands of dogs & the majority of owners are responsible & clean up etc. Where exactly do they want us to walk our dogs then, down through all the main high streets? (Now theres an idea)

I've recently moved to the island as we love that the island is so dog friendly - please don't change this

You will not only be banning dog from these places but their owners too, who enjoy the walk . Dogs are like our children they love to run around and play.

Another one who thinks this is a stupid idea from the council. Let our dogs roam free to enjoy the beaches.

This sounds like just another in the long list of ways the council is out of touch with what the people of the island want and need!

An absolutely ridiculous idea to ban dogs from beaches, one of life's pleasures is a stroll on the beach with mans best friend.

The island is becoming an anti dog place. Many tourists come to the island with there dogs. This will affect locals and tourists

We have been visiting IOW regularly since 2012 with our dogs. We’ve found that it is humans who do most damage to the environment with their rubbish and disregard. Please don’t target innocent dogs! You have such a reputation for being dog friendly! It would be such a shame for that to change.

Ridiculous and totally unnecessary legislation

Dogs do need some control but to exclude them from areas where the family might be enjoying the facilities is wrong. Just control anti social drinking in public places.

You will lose a lot of tourists if you do this just like St. Ives!

I visit my sons grave with his beloved puppy and will continue to do so regardless ..this is an absolute disgrace ...and we call ourselves a dog friendly island !!!!!!
