Stop the IOW council bringing in the ban of dogs in public spaces

I think that dog are better behaviour than humans and its not the dogs it's the owners and how a dog is treated and the the Isle if wight Council must be crazy

I am a would be tourist with 2 dogs but would not consider this if you ban dogs on your beaches. Humans create more rubbish than dogs ever do

There is more mess and junk on the beach from tourists in the summer season as against dog mess. Winter season is the only time we get to let our dogs have a decent run and enjoy the beach and sea. What you’re doing is completely unnecessary!!

Please keep Yaverland beach and other beaches restriction free so we have somewhere nice to walk our dogs. It’s people who are the problem they make more mess than dogs ..

Absolutely ridiculous, the beach is for everyone to use, can understand seasonal restrictions, but to ban dogs who are usually the only ones with their owners using it in the winter months .Absolute pointless. The iow council obviously have nothing better to do , than destroy peoples enjoyment. Madness!

We have walked dogs on these beaches for years with no apparent conflict with other users. Why change now?

Why change a system that seems to work for everybody.

The Isle of Wight is such a dog friendly destination for many holidaymakers who collectively spend a large amount of money which supports businesses on the island - please don't bite the hand that feeds you!

Without our cemetery walks I Ryde. Many elderly people will only be walking the streets with their dogs, unable to go anywhere else. We NEED that space!

There are already too many bans on beaches for dogs. Supposed to be dog friendly Island - hmm!!

So many visitors come to the IOW because it is dog friendly this will really effect the tourist industry so short sighted.

Ridiculous to suggest dog walking should be banned from so many public places. If the dog walkers aren’t allowed in the cemeteries to use these wonderful public spaces the drug dealers will just take them over again

There should be no increase at all in any dog restrictions: there are more than enough. Dog owners pay their council tax and we expect to be able to use beaches, parks, green spaces. The IWC needs to employ enforcement officers, not just rely on the service paid for by some, not all, town and parish councils. Enough is enough: I hope islanders hit the council where it hurts -in the ballot box -if this goes ahead. It is both unpopular and unenforceable.
