Always holiday on the Island with dogs, have done for 50 years. Thinking of moving to the Island, maybe not if this comes in to force. Rather find somewhere more dog friendly!

This could lead to people not walking their dogs enough and the people that don’t clear up after their dogs will probably continue to do so but in towns and streets instead. A lot of people walk dogs along beaches not only for physical but mental wellbeing.This will have a huge impact on dog walkers and non dog walkers if proposals go ahead.

This is a wind up, right? Totally crazy. Instead of banning dogs, maybe ban the 'chav boy racer' types that park up evenings & leave tons of KFC & McDonald's rubbish all over the place. Ban certain football teams from using a field who leave loads of beer cans, crisp packets, lucozade bottles etc after a match. Ban the homeless from sleeping in a field who go to toilet in the hedges & their beer cans. Ban teens that hang around parks starting bonfires, causing damage to park benchs & smoking weed. When out with my dog I see all this stuff alot where these skank's have been and it drives me insane. So many more things that have to be looked at to stop from happening in public. This council is full of total imbeciles.

Do the police arrest every single citizen when a crime is committed? No! So why pick on every dog owner because of a few irresponsible pet owners.

our dogs are not the problem. We love our pets and get a lot of pleasure walking them around our beautiful island. There should be no restrictions but owners should be responsible to clean up after them.

Bloody ridiculous It’s almost like your taking away a dogs basic need for a dogs welfare it needs long walks if you take away the beaches and forests how our is dog owners ment to exercise our dogs properly

Rather than attempt to stop Island residents and visitors enjoying open spaces with their animals, the Council should be concentrating on all the other issues that affect people more,ie poor education, adult social care,holding Island Roads to account, the list is endless!

People are messier and more destructive than dogs. In a majority of these places you can often fine used needles, broken bottles and other rubbish and dogs had nothing to do with it.

We are responsible dog owners whose dogs love a run along the beach in our experience there is more litter left by humans than by dog fouling
