It’s the irresponsible dog owners that give us all a bad name. We are not all the same.

Typical Isle of Wight council destroying the island. It is the humans who are the cause of broken bottles, litter, used heroin needles and all kinds of rubbish destroying our island.

The island will lose a lot of tourism if they ban dogs from beaches etc, I return twice a year with my chocolate lab and family to the island so the dog can use the beach and have a nice break because if how pet friendly the island is but I would not return if we could not use the beach with him

Please do not ban dogs. Dogs are members of the family. Enjoyment for young and old.

There may be a minority of irresponsible dog owners, but the far manority of people do the right things and people enjoy the community use of the beaches.
It might be better for the council to spend their energies on supporting the use of dog waste bins (which need emptying more regularly). I have seen and heard unfortunatly "experienced" far more dog waste on streets and pavements than I have on the beach. In Ryde I have to leap frog over left over dog mess.

Beaches should be allowed for all dogs to run free ,to play with balls etc. All pet owners in the majority are responsible people, most dogs are friendly.

As long as people act responsibly and keep dogs under control I can't see the problem

Please don't ban dogs from beaches or anywhere. I don't own a dog but love to see them frolic on the beach.

Don’t penalise responsible dog owners. Will horses be banned from beaches?

I understand St. Helen's Duver might be included but it belongs to The National Trust and I have walked it for many years. The majority of Island dog owners are responsible people please don't penalise us.

Our pets should be allowed freedom and banning them from beaches which many dogs love just is really unfair.

I live near the Wootton recreation ground and not having a car would find it difficult to give my dog the space he needs to run around and mix with other dogs. I ALWAYS pick up the dog poo!
