absolute nonsense. Is this about dog mess? Don't punish all of us dog owners for the irresponsible few. Every time I see a pile of dog poo on a walk I count up how much revenue that would be if your wardens caught them. Another hare brain scheme typically not thought through . The humans that frequent the beach regularly make more mess .

If the council take away parks, we already lose the beaches. We will have no choice walking on the paths and toileting on the paths is that what they want

We have given councils an unlimited power to restrict our freedoms without regard to adequate safeguards against over-exuberant use. I support this petition.

An absolutely ridiculous idea. Where are people supposed to walk their dogs. You can't keep them on a lead all the time. Is there a hidden agenda here, maybe getting rid of dog wardens?

I don't live on the island but this is outrageous. About time some of the filthy scruffy humans were banned instead.

I feel there are enough restrictions already, this proposal will be a step too far that will impact on visitors to the island as well as responsible residents.

we strongly protest against this stupid idea as older people like us frequent the beaches often and meet lots of other friendly people with dogs and this is a way of keeping contact and letting our dog exercise and keep fit.

There isn’t much point in extending any ban as the Council don’t enforce the present one. I would like to see horse owners made to clear up after their animals though, especially at Yaverland and Sandown Bay. I’m not against letting horses exercise on the beach, it must be nice for them to swim in the sea during the hot weather BUT the owners never clear up the mess in the car park, footpaths, beach and even on the slipway that is used by all the water sports enthusiasts and general public.

The IOW Council really doesn,t want to help itself does it . Do you all really live here and love this Island ? if so why do you make such ridiculous decisions that puts our holiday Island at even more risk of people not choosing to come here !!!!!!!!! I cannot believe what I have read, you all really need to hand your notice in and recruit younger bodies to make good choices for the Island and it’s future . As a Islander all my life , a dog owner and lover and owner of a dog friendly holiday cottage this is absolutely outrageous !!!!!!!!
Please re think !!!
