We moved to St Helens as they have a year round dog friendly beach and our friends holiday here because the isle is dog friendly.

I have a holiday let business, my visitor often comment how dog friendly the island is, I think this proposal would be very bad for the whole island economy.
I think most dog owners are responsible people, it is only a few that spoile it. Bring back the Dog Wardens.

The wonderful thing about the IOW is their inclusion of dogs . It is a massive pull for tourists to know their dogs are allowed in pubs, beaches, tourist attractions .

Animals dogs especially bring people together lonely people clap them the owners responsible d the day of a lonely person can be made from the one interaction as it might be the only one they have that day, dogs love people and they behave well in towns and cities why would you want to resist rice thief movements? There are just to many silly laws being passed and the real issues being ignored, do your jobs focus on something meaningful and worthwhile, this is just ridiculius

This is a lunatic plan which seems to have no point but to deter tourism still further and blight the lives of thousands of dogs - I can only think they're trying to distract us. I've already seen many comments from non - residents saying they'll not come to the island ever again if this goes through and it's not been out for a week yet. I can see their point - if I have to keep my dog on a lead at the beach she'll get SO frustrated - so effectively we're totally banned from the seaside on our own island home if they do this .

Thought discrimination was against the law. What about the welfare of animals, as exercise is part of that and your trying to take it away, should be ashamed of yourselves.

Is IoW council deliberately trying to destroy the island economy?? Dog owners (being one myself) seek out and return to places that are dog friendly - if my dogs are not welcome, then neither am I or my money.

Most dog owners are very responsible people. This is a ridiculous idea and very anti our tourist business.
