Absolutely ridiculous

Can’t believe this. We come to the island as it is really dog friendly. It won’t be worth coming if we cannot take our dog out with us. Please do not do this. We came over 7 times this year and were thinking of moving over due to the dog friendly places.

How ridiculous this is. If you look at any beach at the end of a summer’s day, it’s totally littered with not only litter, but disused BBQ’s and we’ve even seen dirty nappies!! Responsible dog owners, like myself always carry bags to clear up after themselves, and I’ve even picked up other owners dog waste if I’ve seen it!!!!

How bloody daft. Dogs and their owners have as much right to enjoy our open spaces as much as anyone else.

Counterproductive and an overreaction to the problems caused by a few irresponsible dog owners.

My dogs always walked in public places on a lead and I always clean up after him .and also get angry at irresponsible owners leaving there pets poo and being inconsiderate .giving dog owners bad press

the council are not able to police the streets properly they have no chance policing beaches unless they see dog owners as an easy revenue fund

Clearly someone on the council who doesn't like dogs is pursuing their own agenda. How much is this agenda costing us council tax payers.

Isn't it lucky that dogs dont have the run of the IOW or any other part of the UK!or the rest of the planet! If they did, us humans wouldn't have a chance at wrecking the planet the way we are now, pollution, emissions, plastics, throwaways.... I could go on and on!!

Sack the Council en bloc. Not fit for purpose by all their wastage of public money, and proposed schemes continue this shambles.
