Stop the IOW council bringing in the ban of dogs in public spaces

I am a resident here and do not agree with these new rules. Police the offenders & whilst doing that, police the reckless cyclists, litterers and others who do not appreciate what they have and abuse it.

I support the banning of dogs on popular beaches durng the summer months, but during the winter too??? Ridiculous idea. More dog bins in these areas would encourage people to clean up after their dog too.

I am not a dog owner but believe it is wrong to ban them from so many public spaces. Cemeteries maybe, but not from other open spaces.

Dogs should still be allowed in these areas, it's outrageous to ban them, people are more harm that dogs!

We visit the IoW every summer. I would be very sorry if dogs were to be banned. One of the attractions for dog owners is that they can take their pet with them. Please don't change that!

I agree, this is a ridiculous proposal. I think the current arrangements are fine and work well for Islanders. However as virtually every decision the council makes seems to be to focused on increasing tourism..... The amount of tourists I've met who have raved about how much they love visiting with their dog as they can take them everywhere they go, I hardly think this will entice any further tourists to visit with their dog (s).

This piece of proposed legislation is totally misguided, it will impact on all Island dog owners and on our tourist industry. The council must be made to abandon this Draconian action.

It’s mainly dog walkers with their families that take advantage of quality time , fresh air and exercise on beaches during winter. We respect summer /winter beach regs.
