Stop the IOW council bringing in the ban of dogs in public spaces

Don't spoil our dog friendly Island, where will we be able to walk our dogs

Ridiculous ! Place more dog poop bins instead of banning the dogs!Sometimes have to carry poop for too long as no bins available.

Is there not something more important for the council to be dealing with ? Like focusing on the lifeblood of the island Tourists and there dogs ! The DOG Friendly Island. In my experience there is more of a problem with people littering our beaches than dogs

people need places to walk their dogs safely, and enjoy the sound of the sea

Exercise is good for people, young or old, so walking the dog on the beach is good for health and well being and mental health as dog walkers always chat to other dog walkers thus minimising loneliness and isolation and encourages the people and their dogs to stay happy, and enjoy the antics of the dogs on the beach and frindliness between people and dogs

In particular Yaverland and St Helens Duver should continue to allow dogs. There are plenty of beaches in the vicinity where dogs are not allowed.

I visit IoW and I have a dog. I cannot visit a place where they are so anti dogs. Banning all to deal with the very few idiot owners who leave their dog poo behind or have an out of control anti social dog from many or all of your beaches and public spaces will mean I go elsewhere.

They are public places, that means they are for all. Owners must be responsible.

This is an absolute joke! I can understand in kids parks and where wild life are but banning dogs all yesr round goes to far! So much for a free society!!! P.s Iam not a dog owner...

If we couldn't walk our dogs on the beaches it wouldn't be worth us coming to the IOW every year. That would be very sad.

Dogs must not be banned - they are part pf families - they belong to people

This proposal will be detrimental to the tourist industry and affect businesses as well as the impact it will have on residents especially the elderly who enjoy the freedom of letting their dogs run on beaches.

We've just moved to the island to live and work here, as owners of two cockapoos one of the main reasons to move was how dog friendly the island was!

Please leave our island beaches for island and visiting dogs to enjoy their freedom. We cleanup after our dogs and pick up litter/ plastic.

Welcome well behaved dogs, banning them will solve nothing
