Stop the IOW council bringing in the ban of dogs in public spaces

It is not the dog's that need banning but the owners that don't clean up after their dogs!!

Shocking would ruin tourist visit as well as locals . Many people bring dogs to the Island would loose our dog friendly status

One of the amazing things about the IOW is how dog friendly it is! It would have a real knock on effect to the local economy and tourism

The vast majority of dog owners respect where they walk their dogs and clean up after them. Don't penalise us, penalise the few.

I don’t mind banning dogs from cemeteries But not open public places like parks and beaches. Just come back from holiday in Cornwall where dogs are welcome almost everywhere. Not going to be good for tourism banning dog lovers

We visit the island every September with our 2 dogs & walking them on the dog friendly beaches is the main reason we come! Hoping to retire here to, responsible owners pick up their dogs No 2 such as we do, and ensure they are well behaved, please reconsider this stupid idea of a dog ban!!!

Keep the Island dog friendly!

I can’t believe there are not more important issues to look at. Is this a smokescreen for St marys roundabout.

People leave worse mess on beaches and in parks than dogs. To ban dogs from these places is likely to badly affect tourism. It will be madness to follow this ban through.

Ban people on the beaches that leave all their litter

I have been walking my dogs on island beaches. I always follow the rules.. I have numerous guests who love coming to the island with their dogs just because of our wonderful beaches. Please reconsider

If I can not walk my dogs on the Island’s beaches then I will be one more responsible person among the many dog walkers who will be unable to help clear the beaches of plastic and waste created by humans.

Dogs favourite place to be is the beach as long as you clean up after them and make sure they are under control I don’t see the problem.

Maybe not allow at children's playareas unless on a lead and under control but beach bans is RIDICULOUS. There ARE many dogs on the Island and always will be, consider the animals they have as much right to live on our beautiful Island and be given a good quality of life. Dont just think human when you are planning new 'rules' see the complete picture.

The fact that dogs are welcome on the island, including, under control on the beaches, is one of the things that attracts so many to our lovely island.
