Humans cause more mess and damage, not sure why the council are punishing dogs. If they have responsible owners shouldn’t be a problem.

Would be a great shame when these animals bring such joy you people to stop that when mental illness is on the up.

Ridiculous proposal which would be to the absolute detriment of the Island.
Whichever officer of the IoW Council who came up with this needs to seriously consider the repercussions of their actions. Shame on you!!!!!!

Any one should support this petition, responsible dog owners should have the rights to walk their dogs on beaches! The delight of living on the island.

Please don't penalise responsible dog owners because of the actions of a few bad ones.

We need to be able to walk our dogs in nice places for them and us. How about they start prosecuting people who don't pick up their dogs mess rather than banning people who do.

By all means be clear on the rules and then enforce them as I agree there are in the minority a few irresponsible owners but don’t punish the majority!

I am a non resident on the IOW, but when we do visit, our lab loves a walk on the beach.
I also have met many dog walkers on our visits, whose dogs enjoy the freedom of the beaches and green spaces.
Not all dogs are vicious, and not all dog owners are irresponsible.
Don't punish those who aren't at fault.
Instead put the effort into finding those who don't abide by the islands rules, and cause problems for those dog owners on the island.

One of the Islands main attractions is its openness and accessibility for our faithful 4 legged friends.
Tourists and islanders alike meet and chat over a dog walk in all sorts of locations.
The current restrictions are sensible and adequate.
The Council need to stop finding problems where there aren't any!

This is vile and the council needs to get their act together and realise how disgusting this is, how would they feel if they were banned from their favourite beach or park, absolutely vile

it's a shame I suspect that cost cutting and emptying pooh bins is behind this, maybe the council should stop closing down public play areas too.

Allowing me to walk my dog on the beach is precious to me. Please don't take it away
