Stop the IOW council bringing in the ban of dogs in public spaces

Dogs have rights to exercise and the iow council is debating denial of those rights ,reducing tourism as a result and affecting businesses .

Bloody ridiculous!

Please don't make the Duver a lead only area - a favourite spot for our family and our dogs!

There is no need to ban dogs in the winter from any of the island beaches. People on the beach in summer do far more damage by leaving rubbish and mess. It is generally 'dog people' whose the beaches in the winter and to take this facility away would be devastating

This is wrong it shouldn’t happen

Please let our dogs into public spaces.

Will severely affect tourism and local business who are already struggling. Don’t punish those responsible dog owners try finding the culprits who would low their dog to foul anywhere regardless of the ban.

The council need to listen to the people they are supposed to serve. Yet another ridiculous idea let’s hope this one doesn’t happen unlike others ie st Mary’s roundabout road gritting cuts toilets closing to name just a few! Everyone sign!

As long as dog owners are responsible they should be allowed.

One of the reasons we visited the island is because it is dog friendly. Making these areas no dog zones is likely to severely impact tourism.

Totally disagree with this. It is not fair to restrict dog walkers than you do already. Not all dog owners should be tarred with the same brush than those who are not responsible. All you will do is encourage more people to walk their dogs on the public highway and allow their dogs to foul the streets instead.

Let dogs on beaches all year round!

love having my dog with me and I'm responsible and clean up its like hurting everybody for the few

I love seeing other people's dogs when I walk on the beach in Bembridge and before my dog died I loved walking mine there too. I've never seen any issues with dogs on the beach and this idea of banning dogs is so ridiculous.

This is a disgrace. What next banning horses? Dog walkers keep so many businesses going during the winter months, this will kill some of their trade. You already added parking fees now banning dogs in parks and beaches will just put tourist off coming to the island even more. Wake up and listen IOW council.

There is no logical reason for this ban and therefore, this can only be a minority of people’s vendetta against dog owners on the island.

I moved to the Island because of the wonderful beaches I can walk my dog!!!
