I think it is wrong to ban dogs from playing and running as they need the exercise, as long as you clean up behind them, what is the problem

So important to be a dog friendly Island as our tourists bring dogs with them. Surely we do not want to be seen as discriminating. Black, golden, grizzle, chocolate, All Welcome

Dogs and owners have more fun and exercise running round a park than they ever would on a pavement walk on the lead.

People visit public spaces and leave/drop litter all the time so will the IOW Council kindly bann them from the same spaces as waste bins are provided for them as well. Majority of dog owners are careful, responsible and proactive in clearing their animal mess.

The island is known for its public spaces, pubs et cetera being dog friendly it would be very sad to see this change.

The IoW and UK is an animal friendly country. This ban should be cancelled as it is likely based on a few grumbles from non dog lovers rather than based on the joy most of the nation derive from seeing and interacting with dogs having fun. 90% + dog owners are resposible. Dont let a gew grumblers spoil it for the majority of animal carers.

Dogs bring a lot of joy to people, we are told to love and care for our animals. These spaces are enjoyed by both, our responsibility is to respect the environment too. Most owners do that. Don't throw out what is good and healthy with what is bad behaviour by the few, thank you.

I think Councillors should be spending their time on important issues for the Island, and let the dog owners decide where a dog should go.

To restrict dogs on leads in parkland is appalling. They have got to be allowed to exercise properly, and it's humans who leave mess, not dogs.

Don't spoil our dog friendly island, where will we be able to walk our dogs for much needed exercise
