Foolish idea. Culling fog friendly areas will choke an already struggling island. And you’ll have lots of abandonment happening.

our dogs enjoy the walk along the beach, keeping them healthy as well as who ever walks the dogs , keep this Island animal friendly don't stop the fun for the dogs and owners yet another lack of democracy

The island is known as a dog friendly place and there are sufficient beaches where in the summer dogs are restricted, which is fair enough for the summer season only. However there are also beaches available for dogs all year round ie, Yaverland, far end of Shanklin beach, far end of Gurnard beach etc. This is a fair balance for everyone and should remain as it is.

This is a ridiculous suggestion, as dogs bring happiness to many, and encourage owners to take excercise themselves which is so important. It definitely attracts tourists too - piutting a dog in kennels whilst on holiday is very expensive.

Keep the beaches as they are, some dog free and some where dogs can be walked.

l think maintaining the current rules regarding beaches is fine but it would be a huge mistake to further restrict access with dogs.
l would, however, suggest signs asking parents to prevent children throwing stones at dogs - happened several times to me last summer. Also, see no problem in having specific family friendly areas clearly marked as no dogs.
l see more discarded crab lines, and litter left on beaches than dog waste which l hardly ever see. l also think most dog owners carry extra poo bags and often oick up other dog waste if they see it.

Why would you do this when our tourist industry is already under severe pressure? The Island is known for being dog friendly. Is there really a problem with dog mess? The vast majority of owners clean up after their dogs now that there is much higher awareness.
