Access for dogs is a major contributor to the attraction and economy of the Island in terms of amenity for visitors, tourists and residents, helping to support many businesses throughout the year.

Instead of trying to ban dogs from beaches and dog friendly public places why don’t the council come up with an idea to reduce ferry costs or build a bridge the argument of the island being to crowded is ridiculous. Some people need to live and work off the island and these costs are killers

Living in seaview this will take away almost all the places I walk the dog. Also it will surely make IOW not a place to visit for holidays

As a dog owning family we need different location where we can take our family pet to exercise them as well as being able to enjoy some of the special places on the island.

Don't punish the majority for a few inconsiderate owners. The Island is known for being so dog friendly, don't ruin the reputation as it will stop many visitors

Another problem would be that Private Parks such as Northwood would be overrun with dog walkers and might therefore need to ban dogs as well.

Not a dog owner. This is totally illiberal and unacceptable. Suggest the council focus on delivering services properly and less on running a blairite police state. If you have trouble doing this then we can help. Let’s start with pruning the excessive pay, benefits and numbers of senior management.

There are already plenty of restrictions on busy beaches in the summer. We do not need more.

The majority of dog owners are responsible and considerate, keeping dogs under control and clearing up their mess.
Public spaces should all be shared. Cemeteries should be encouraged to be living spaces where people are encouraged to walk for health and positive welfare - including with dogs.

This is so so stupid. Banning dogs from public places can only hurt the economy, of they can't go where they usually go with their dogs then they won't go at all, dogs are like family, no one wants to go where family are banned. And where are the dogs going to get their walks etc? It's pathetic

I don't agree with dogs being on the beach in the summer season, but the rest of the year I'd great to see them enjoying themselves.
