Let;s vote with our feet. Inform our local Councillor that you will not vote for him in future if he supports this ban.

These proposals are an insult to responsible dog owners, and a completely unfair restriction of our abilities to exercise our dogs properly.

I see they have changed things in the Echo! But still trying to stop us using Yaverland Beach. They should set aside parts of beaches for us all year round

Typical of the council. Instead of targeting the few offenders . They want create a blanket ban affecting responsible people.

At first I thought this was a joke. It seems bizarre that a group of people would want to ruin the island's great reputation as a dog friendly tourist destination. Message to IWCC, promote the Isle of Wight don't bury your heads in the sand!

There are no other counties that would bring in this kind of ban. It's ridiculous, unless you plan to invest a lot of money making designated enclosed dog parks. Pathetic, bad for people's wellbeing who enjoy talking and meeting people/having dogs play together, which is proven to improve mental health for vulnerable demographics - another shocking sector on this island. Dogs need freedom to run, for those who don't have gardens. The council need to take a serious look at themselves and who sits on these boards.

The beach is vital for our and our dogs health- such a wonderful lace. Do not stop our dogs being able to walk on the beaches on the Isle of Wight or any beaches in UK

I never see any dog mess on the beaches so do not understand what this is trying to achieve- but sadness to dog owners
