This infringes on the rights of dog owners to enjoy our open spaces

If it wasnt for the dog friendly beaches and areas in the IOW, we would never have visited the island. We have come back each year and this is one of the reasons why.

My wife and I plus Lola the dog come to the IOW every year and we love to walk on the beaches it will be a shame if the council will ban dogs on all beaches

Won't be holidaying on the IOW if you become undog friendly. Take a look at Norfolk and see how tourism is prospering due to being dog friendly.

I thought this was a joke)April fool) at first! How could they possibly think this would be better for the island?

This is a crack pot idea by a crack pot council. Why not grow a backbone and deal with the very small minority of dog owners that are ruining it for us decent ones. No, the council can't do that, no balls, so they just do the easy thing and stop us all. How is this going to be enforced??

Island beaches should still be open to dogs in off season. We've literally spend so much time trying to bring people here to experience the outdoors but now plan on banning? Really???!

Its a beautiful island with so much to offer but many people who holiday in this country do so so that they can bring their dogs with them. You would lose so many visitors if they brought this in. With the price of getting to the island in the first place and then not being able to take the dog I would think twice about day trips and holidays. Don't penalise dog owners.

Please don’t penalise responsible dog owners just tighten laws for the irresponsible ones

We are annual visitors. We come because the island is beautiful and very dog friendly. Please think again. We would be sad if we couldn't visit the island in future

Most of us have dogs. The elderly particularly for companionship. Most stupid thing to ban them
