I pride myself as a dog owner to respect public places and pick up after my dog. There are more mess left after humans leave rubbish. And polute are beaches.

There needs to be more encouragement for irresponsible dog owners to clean up - signage and fines would help. Please do not stop the enjoyment of many because of the selfish actions of a few!

We love our holidays with our dogs on the island. We would go elsewhere if the bans were brought in.

The island is a lovely place to walk dogs and is very popular for dog walking I think if people are responsible dog owners their shouldn't be a problem dogs enjoy going to different places let's remember that we have moved alot of animals out of their own land and now dogs are even going to be even more limited to where they can walk it isn't right!fingers crossed

What a ridiculous plan. How to jeopardise tourism in one fell swoop. Encourage dog owners to clear up after their pets but please do not ban dogs from public places.

Just a poorly conceived idea - in the past we forsook Cornwall because of its anti dog policies. The current restrictions are perfectly adequate to provide enjoyment for both dog owners and non dog owners

It will be a shame if the ban comes into place that my family and our dog would no longer be able to enjoy the Duver, but also a shame that the IOW would no longer enjoy the income we bring!

The existing regulations just need enforcing - litter, dog mess and drunks are already covered by byelaws

This is terrible and will impact on the tourist industry. We are a dog friendly island proud of our traditions and the companionship of our faithful friends. This is a bad lesson for children and families all of whom can benefit from what we learn from our interactions with animals.

It would be such a shame to deprive both islanders and visitors of the joy of taking their dog on a family walk to these lovely locations. I really hope this proposal does not go ahead. Small businesses such as beach cafes and ice-cream huts would lose many valuable customers.
