Dogs are cleaner, less noisy and better behaved than some children

This ban would have a considerable effect on our tourist industry. There many families I'm sure that holiday at home to avoid leaving their dogs behind in kennels etc.

We are known by tourists to be a dog loving island which is a great attraction. If you ban dogs you will upset the people who pay your wages and you will limit the islands appeal to tourists.

Do not make more rules for everyone, just enforce the ones that are already in place.

Stop the an against our dogs. They should have freedom to walk in public places. Our owners pick up poo.. Humans just throw rubbish on the floor. Dog owners are more often than not responsible owners.

Just wrong, too meny they are family, you wouldn't go out in public if your children weren't allowed

I would be very angry if this happened, I've always picked up after my dog and even taken our dog poo home if there is no bins or full!!! Even in the winter months when we are allowed on beaches. Yes there is a minority of irresponsible dog walkers, but pur dogs or humans shouldn't be penalized for others. I agree with a ban on football playing or sports fields, children's areas and graveyards. Unfortunately there is more human waste and anti-social behaviour from alcoholics and drug users on this island. They never seem to be moved on from the seafront areas. Leave the summer beach ban as it is, and concentrate on tidying and cleaning the streets and bins.!!! Could you ban the sea gulls etc. That congregate round every picnic or ice cream parlour along the seafront too!!!!

I have 3 dogs who all love walking along the beach, in fact one of my dogs definitely thinks he's a seal! This would break their hearts of they were banned, this can't happen! We are known as a dog friendly island and to loose that would be aweful!
