Ludicrous idea. Waste of time in even considering such a divisive and mean-spirited initiative. And a PR and economic disaster....am sure the tourist authority are holding their heads in their hands.

Put it to the people on the island .let them have a vote .
It’s 1 or 2 owners and we all suffer, I pick up for other dogs as well as my own.

Why punish all dogs and their owners for the minority of selfish ones? My dog loves a walk to the beach and a swim.

Please please do not restrict our dogs going on our beaches, one of our greatest pleasures.

One of the main reasons we moved to IOW. Looks like the Tories have lost my vote in the next council and main elections

Once again the majority being punished for the minority who break the rules. IOW tourist board states 'The Isle of Wight is one of the most dog friendly places to visit'. Obviously this will not be the case if the council has its way!! So foolish!

Council has come up with some hair brained ideas but this one is up there with one of the worst. Are you out to kill what tourism the Island has. And my husband along with many other dog walkers pick up rubbish from the beach as its not done by the council.

Banning dogs in certain areas would not only be detrimental to local residents and businesses but also to tourism. The Isle of Wight is currently welcoming to dogs and their owners and should remain so.

How bloody ridiculous, just enforce the current rules such as no fouling and dogs MUST be under control. It's just like the horrendous driving, nobody policing it.
