Dogs are family. They are better behaved than a lot of humans I know. If you ban dogs from public places you will have no tourist industry. I would certainly not visit.

We are a holiday island that is supposed to be dog friendly banning dogs on the beach will in turn hit our tourist trade

Yet again dog owners are being targeted. I thought the council wanted the island a place where you can holiday with your dog. Yet another thing to put off visiting the island along with ferry prices etc.

The majority of tourists who visit the island are British, the majority of British people who stay in the UK for holidays are dog owners, and this could negatively effect tourism - the islands main source of income.
This rule would penalise all dogs and owners, dogs with responsible owners who clean up after their dogs are no problem. Maybe you should have tougher fines that are enforced for fouling.
Also nature is for all creatures, more than just humans should have the right to roam the beaches.

Some rules about walking dogs in some places yes, but banning them will mean them having to be left behind when they could be outside enjoying time with there families

Never heard anything more ridiculous-
Why ban dogs - humans leave more mess than dogs do
Public places are just that - if you can’t walk you dog in a park or beach - where else can we walk them that’s safe away from busy roads.
Obviously people trying to put the ban in place are NOT animal lovers !!!!!!!!!!!

The Island is a beautiful place to explore with your dogs and families. People visit because we are dog friendly. Why come on holiday to leave your dog indoors

This is a dog lovers island if this stupid idea is implemented we will lose tourists, what the hell are the council trying to achieve, during the summer months dogs aren’t allowed on most beaches and dog owners respect that, pull yourself together council before you destroy this beautiful island with your half baked ideas.
