Stop the IOW council bringing in the ban of dogs in public spaces

Dogs are better behaved and leave less mess on our beaches than most people They are a valuable part of many peoples families. About a quarter of all households have at least one dog. They deserve to be treated with the respect and love that they all deserve. I believe it is a small minority who don’t appreciate how precious they are.

Humans cause more problems than dogs!

What a rediculous idea! What else will this bunch of idiots come up with? Hope this stupid idea falls at the first hurdle..and the IOW Council fall with it!

I have 3 dogs, all of which are well behaved when out. I feel strongly that this is a terrible idea to ban dogs from the areas proposed.

Dogs don’t make mess humans do more harm with litter,

Absolutely ridiculous,will put people of coming here,cost saving ,they don't want to empty the dog bins !!!

So many people own dogs or even holiday here because we are a dog friendly place. This would be ludicrous for so many reasons!

Please do not penalise responsible dog owners this is a dig friendly island please do not change that.

We are buying a property on the island with our dog at the forefront of the purchase. The ability to have walks on the beach a priority

A ludicrous idea. Its humans who cause the problems in these areas, not dogs. There's no way the council can enforce this either. I agree with no dogs in playgrounds and even certain cemeteries, but to keep them on lead in some of the proposed areas is totally unnecessary and won't solve any problems.

We always love to visit your beautiful island with our dogs. We are resposible dog owners who always clean up after our pets, as are the majority of dog owners on holiday, probably clean up better than families with small children leaving all sorts of rubbish behind

Ridiculous people with dogs are penalised in every way .There are people that need to be banned from areas but no easy target dogs and the owners

Ban dogs from public places? A ridiculous proposal. Totally against a ban. It will damage tourism.

I think the IOW council would be better off using their energies on more useful and progressive ideas for the island ...than an ill judged badly thought idea such as this!

This is a silly proposal that will both drive the wrong behaviours and effect all businesses/tourists local to these areas. Please ensure this is stopped at first hurdle.

The wonderful opportunities for dog walking on the Island is one of the main attractions for tourists and one of the biggest benefits of living here!
