Most households have a dog, so the next move will be parks so where do dogs get exercised off a lead ,certainly not on the pavement.

I come to the island because it is dog friendly. Like many others this could make me think twice

Islanders and visitors expect for the very small minority, currently adhere their the winter/summer beach dog walking rules! This new rule is an utter disgrace

Dogs are part of people's family, if they can't take them to the beach or parks they will stop coming to the Island.

Our 2 year old rescue loves the beach and the Rec where we live one ryde. We always clean up after our dog and haven’t left city life for this restriction. This isn’t an issue anywhere else in the UK

To ban dogs will have a massive effect on tourism here on the Island. Mainland resorts will be far more attractive to visitors who take their dogs on holiday. Yet another nail in the coffin for the IOW ‘s tourism.

How about banning miserable people first as it’s been proven that most dog owners are happier

This would be very negative for Iow residents and tourism

If this goes ahead this will have a devastating impact on our tourism! We should be coming down on the drunks that hang around on our streets and seafront and are aggressive towards members of the public. Let's not start on about the closure of day centres etc etc. I could go on ..... .

This would be such a bad move, impinging on peoples rights and abilities to legally enjoy and exercise their dogs.

IOW council....many of you are intransigent....some would say stupid....best not to take on on a fight that you cannot win.,.you can price out our beach huts....you can completely rip us off with the community charge....you can levy exorbitant parking charges..but don’t mess with our dog freedom...
