Stop the IOW council bringing in the ban of dogs in public spaces

We come to the island quite regularly and take our dog all over the island

Keep it dog friendly

As a visitor to the island I would almost certainly stop or limit my visits if I thought my dog was not welcome. I understand that some irresponsible owners cause a problem but banning all owners is not the answer

For gods sake dogs are cleaner than most humans

Banished dogs will not help, the problem is people who do not pick up after their dogs. More dog waste bins would be useful and a welcome addition. It is not fair to ban every dog, in general the dogs and humans are well behaved, the few should not spoil it for the many. If the ban comes in then tourism will drop significantly.

There is only one word to describe our councillors. "IDIOTS". Have they joined the MP's with the disease called "INCOMPETENCE" . Do they just want to shut the Island from tourists. And punish local people. The West Country WELCOMES are pets with open arms. What is happening with this stupid thinking.

why would u do something so crazy …..dogs are such an important part of the community. I for one will no longer visit if I can not bring my dog. I suspect I will not be the only one

Please don't stop dogs and dog walkers from enjoying our Island for the sake of the antisocial behaviour of a few individuals. More dog poo bins in public areas would help.

Surely animals have a right to use the beach too. Its disgraceful that anyone wod think banning dogs would be a good idea. What's needed is better control over who can breed dogs and better checks on people who want to own them

I despair of anything that comprises our already fragile tourist economy as well as alienating the resident dog owning population!!!

Absolutely ridiculous, dogs need to have space to run, typical councils always trying to cut back on spending , obviously emptying dog bins cost too much and as for wooton reck rugby and football is far more important than a dog having a bit of fun

Cannot see what this is going to achieve other than to alienate all dog owners including visitors. 99% of whom are responsible. You're allowing the 1% of irresponsible owners to rule you? For goodness sake grow up and get the dog wardens back to police this tiny minority. By the way I don't own a dog

We come over to the island twice a year with our dogs. A ban like this would definitely negatively influence dog owner tourists

As a holidaymaker with 2 dogs, don't ban them from the IOW walkways. We need to both exercise them and bring them on holiday!

Outrageous abuse of power by the conservatives. Why don't they concentrate on things that REALLY matter, like stop spending a million ££ of OUR money on a completely useless money losing Floating Bridge.

A regular visitor to IOW with my dog, Please dont criminalise us.

It's a dog friendly island so rules should be left as they are but a supply dog poo bins near the beaches would be helpful
