It's not dogs that leave empty plastic bottles, cans or bottles on the beach! You the council should be addressing this rather than banning innocent dogs with responsible owners!

Being disabled and single my dog is a huge part of my life and if he was unable to go to his perfect place.....the beach for a swim which keeps him fit as I can’t walk too far......would be a tragedy. As usual the minority is spoiling it for the majority as responsible dog owners do not leave poo anywhere and why you think keeping them on a lead would make any difference, I don’t know as they will still not clear up after their dog!

Dogs should be banned from playgrounds, that's a given. But they should only be leashed in cemeteries for safety of themselves and others. All the other banned places such as parks and beaches is just absurd. My dog loves the beach, seagrove and yaverland especially. Don't turn our Island into an anti dog area. It'll kill a lot of tourism

This is the opposite of what needs to happen to address the issues they are attempting to solve. In a time of increasing dog ownership, deteriorating public physical and mental health. The spaces available for the public to get out and excersise both themselves and their pet are being squeezed into a handful of handkerchief sized patches of waste ground. More dogs confined into smaller and smaller areas equals more of the very issues supposedly at the heart of the legislation.
Our civil liberties & freedoms are being eroded at an increasing and horrifying rate, by a few suited bureaucrats who fail to see the damage this will do to the Islands already struggling economy. Let alone the effect on our happiness. In the long run it'll cost far more than it saves, both in terms of financials and emotional wellbeing of Island residents and visitors alike. A dreadfully short sighted plan!

Absolutely ridiculous idea should concentrate on those that don't clean up after their pets, have already heard of people that regulary come here on holiday reconsidering for next year.

I absolutely object to the banning of dogs on the island and only those who have never loved or let a dog in there life would back this notion.
The island is a beautiful scenic place which can only truly be fully enjoyed along side a dog. Unchartered territory is safer accompanied by a dog and dogs are many peoples best friend, sad to read such a proposal.
The great outdoors is what makes the island and the beaches offer tranquility and head space during the winter months where the beaches would usually be baron.
It is dedicated dog owners that report issues to the authorities while most others are still sleeping in the warmth.
It is dedicated dog owners who are the eyes are ears of the island when it's dark and cold.
If the reasons are because of bad dog owners and handlers then please do not ruin the island for the thousands of sensible others.

We lived on the island for 8 years, it's a lovely place, closing toilets etc, banning dogs on beaches will help kill the tourism.
They should focus on the empty hotels etc that are falling into dis repair.

This is a rediculous plan,bi have family that come to the Island wit dogs and love the walks and the dogs are well behaved.vthis would also have a big impact on tourists.
