Stop the IOW council bringing in the ban of dogs in public spaces

Dogs enjoy going to these places and they especially love going to the beach. It’s bad enough there are restrictions on most of the beaches so that dogs can only use them from October to May. Don’t let a few irresponsible dog owners ruin it for all the other dogs.

Have friends and family that bring dogs here. Are we going to ban then on Kerry's as well. It are we as owners going to be banned from owning dogs ??

How about doing something about the humans who leave rubbish, cigarette butts and dirty nappies in public areas. Where and when is the meeting regarding this so I can attend

This would seriously confuse my elderly mother and is a ridiculous rule to create. The ferry prices are already making the island suffer, to stop people taking their dogs to public places would have a detrimental effect to holiday makers visiting the island also.

A ridiculous suggestion which will ruin the island economy and create inequalities. Dog walkers keep local businesses afloat.

This is a ridiculous proposition. Having dog friendly beaches is essential for family life and for tourism. Dogs are not the problem

What a stupid idea, blanket bans on anything just NEVER work, figure out a proper solution to your weird prejudice and try it again.

I notice that the council wants to stop dogs on Cowes beach. We are only allowed on the beach for 6mths as it is and in the winter there are always very few people there so why ban all year???

This is so wrong. I would not come to the island if I could not walk my dogs in public places and especially on some beaches and neither would many of my friends.

Ridiculous short- sighted decision. Punishing people and their much loved pets.

For an island renowned for being dog friendly the council haven't really thought it thru.... Ridiculous idea

This will damage tourism in effected areas and as a B&B owner, it will stop guests staying in those areas. We moved to the Island and Shanklin for the dig beaches - this ban will be soooo wrong ! Increase fines for fouling - not blame the responsible owners !!!

This must not happen, dogs are a fundamental part of families and must be aloud to share in the joy of the island. This is discrimination and must not be allowed!

We should be proud to be a dog friendly Island and consider our doge welfare

This island relies on tourists who choose not to go abroad but here so they can bring their dogs with them. I have never heard of such short sightedness.

This won’t stop mess on pavements..
