Stop the IOW council bringing in the ban of dogs in public spaces

This is typical of the Isle of Wight Council. Ban something that's not actualy a problem. We have to put up with pop festivals, scooter rallies cycle rallies etc. Now we are going to have extra restritions force upon us by an unsimpatetic council who will not listen to the very people they are supposed to serve. I'm discused with this council. They allow building on greenfield sights when there are brownfield sights waiting to be redeveloped. Their policies really are not fit for purpose, like this stupid dog ban, and will alienate them even further from the Island people

The vast majority of dog owners are very responsible - Island residents and visitors. Why upset everyone? Islanders pay their council tax and visitors pay a fortune to get here! Let's hope the council come to their senses!!

This is literally ridiculous.

This would disadvantage those that need assisted living dogs, again another example of indirect disability discrimination. The Equality Act 2010, rules cannot be puts in place for everyone, which places those that have a disability at a particular disadvantage. The equalities Act states this indirect discrimination is unlawful.

Stupid idea! Start with the low life causing issues first!

Ban the irresponsible owners. Do not punish those who pick up the poop & enjoy the outdoors with their beloved dogs

More rubbish left & antisocial behaviour seen from badly behaved humans than dogs!

No reasons dogs cannot be welcomed as long as their owners understand the expectations.

You don't need to ban dogs from public places, just make sure that you have enough wardens on duty to catch the irresponsible owner's rather than punish the rest of us who like myself have picked up my dogs poo for years.

Absolutely narrow minded anti - tourist policy. We only holiday in the UK with our dogs. If we can't exercise them on beaches and public places we will go elsewhere. Shame on the council, fail to deal with the problem and then blame everyone

Wont be able to visit if you don't allow dogs. Not feasible to leave them at home on the mainland.

Why would you ban dogs from public spaces .. playoarks I can understand but beaches? Really? We already have beaches that are dog free and it works ... what is it that needs to change... do the council really want to be so draconian in there processes that they Alienate all dog owners both reside t on the island and those visiting

My dog is part of our family, and as a family we all enjoy lots of these places together walking.

Very short sighted proposal, tourism will fall and I'm sure the IOW does not want that

We love walking our friends and families dogs along the beaches in winter and on some of the allowed beaches in th summer. It would be a great shame to spoil such a lovely thing. Some people visit because they can take their dogs to so many places
