Such a shame there are the minority that spoil it for the majority. I agree with no dogs in children's play areas. But to ban from the beaches is crazy. We love our walks on the beach during the winter and we respect the no dog ban during the summer....this will be another nail in the tourism coffin. Our island is a renowned dog friendly place, let's keep it this way

Maybe a ban of some people in public places would be more beneficial,as I live in a town next to a square that is used & abused by alchoholics & drug users, never seen a dog walker/owner being a nuisance

Good god ! How utterly ridiculous! Bad enough that the ban on dogs on beaches runs way beyond and before the school holidays! What do the Council think they’ll do about the loss of car park revenue when people like me who walks on Yaverland beach almost daily, stop spending an absolute fortune for the privilege. Both Apply and Yaverland make an mint for the council from us dog walkers.

Not all dog owners are irresponsible don't punish us all. It will effect our tourism on the Island as being friendly for walkers and their dogs

An island with a dog friendly reputation and a tourist industry that dog owners choose to visit as a result of this reputation. This is madness!!

Being a dog friendly Island is one of the reasons my friends and I visit. Why take that away? We are responsible dog owners

The trade brought to the island through tourism is greatly enhanced by the number of dog owners who flock to spend time walking on your much loved beaches. To ban this trade would be detrimental to your economy.

Yes, keep dogs off the main tourist beaches during the holiday season but let us have our beloved open spaces like the Duver and Bembridge beaches for all year round fun.
