Please do not ban dogs from public spaces. Iow council you underestimate the value of dogs in peoples life, in their mental health and physical well being. You also clearly overestimate perception of dogs causing problems, which mostly they do not. You should also be welcoming dogs with their owners to boost your economy, not ban them!

This is a travesty! Dogs have enough beach restrictions as it is. Please tell me this is just fake news? Bonkers bloody idea!

I have a rescue dog because this is a dog friendly island. I clean up after my dog. I use the beaches I use the parks. These are public spaces. I clean the beaches at the same time. I pay my rates and get very little for it.

Any councillors that think this is a good idea need to rethink a bit sharp

Totally against the ban of our dogs being aloud in/on open space!! There should be wardens about to keep an eye out for the dog owners who are to lazy to pick up there dog muck as well as the owners who have no control over there dog/dogs to be fined on the spot! Why should we all have to suffer because of the lazy people?

Dogs are a big part of people's lives sometimes their only walking companions. They get people out of their homes and into our beautiful countryside and on our beaches. Isolation and loneliness not to mention lack of exercise are debilitating. Don't make it difficult or awkward for people and their beloved doggies.
