Typical, mindless, thoughtless STUPID interfering worthless councils. Hopefully this will herald a change at the next local elections. Whoever dreamed this nonsense up should be hanged.

What is the sense in this? there are already dog free beaches. This will upset residents and holidays makers, who who will probably go elsewhere to spend their money. An unnecessary act which will have to be policed. Absolutely ridiculous!

This latest council plan is ridiculous . I would like to know how it came about . where the idea came from and how many people have actually complained about dogs in public places .

A sad, small minded idea. So many people have dogs on The Island as companions that are loved. Totally ridiculous and will stop many visitors.

Please don’t do this - target the irresponsible dog owners who don’t pick up. It would cripple tourism as well.

What a ridiculous motion! The island’s beauty lies in its countryside living and that includes the freedom of exercising your dogs freely(&responsibly). Do not punish the many for the actions of a few. Dare to Stand up to them and not opt for the easy way out! Twats.

Ridiculous. We should be doing the way of other dog friendly countries. Not banning them. Rather dogs than humans everywhere. Dogs are our family.

We're supposed to be promoting 'Green living' and an active lifestyle as an Island, this does the complete opposite. It seems such a narrow minded proposal.

IoW is known as being dog friendly, any change to this will have a huge impact on tourism which the IoW heavily depends on.
