Ban owners who don’t use poo bags to pick up their dog waste

Parks are a shared area for all and should not be discriminated Against any user groups just because a few spoil it for others. The park in Wootton especially is well used by dog walkers and is a community for the elderly, keeping dogs on leads interrupts with animal welfare and social gatherings don’t let a few spoil this for the community!!!

The island must be one of the most densely populated dog areas as many older people have them for company. Terrible idea!

How can you ban nature from nature? Ridiculous!

What a ridiculous idea. Dog walkers in the Winter bring much needed custom to small businesses in the beach areas and if there are any problems it is the people who should be penalised not the dogs.

I’m not a dog owner as of now, but I’m currently on a waiting list to get an assistance dog (who, under the Equality Act 2010, give their handlers the independence they need). Putting this ridiculous rule forward, could lead to unnecessary access refusals (I’ve seen some of these and it is not pleasant, and doing this to folks with assistance dogs is UNLAWFUL!!!)

Please do not ban dogs from. Public spaces on the island. It is a ridiculous idea that will affect all aspects of island life.

This is absolutely ridiculous! The one thing that struck me when I moved here 2 years ago was what a dog friendly place the island is. There are so many dog owners here and yet there is far less visible here than on the mainland of any kind of dog - or owner - related problems. I love the arrangement of dog free/dog friendly areas of beach. It means all can enjoy one of the main attractions of the island

I don't own a dog but have no objections to people enjoying shared spaces with their pet.

Think should band people who litter n pollute the beach whether they have a dog or not. Dogs enjoy the beach. I dont have a dog but enjoy watching dogs on the beach. To me its as ludicrous as banning kids from the beach. Just ban n fine those that pollute it

I don’t have a dog but agree this is wrong-I’m sick of the Council being dictators of everything!

Deeply wrong to even consider this. Are you also becoming dictators?

Just ridiculous to put this in place, dogs are much more a part of people’s lives now and are part of the family, most businesses even provide for dogs! Businesses will loose out of this was to be put in place.
