Stop the IOW council bringing in the ban of dogs in public spaces

Stop the' proposed bans, we already have major beach restiction during the so called summer months

Whoever suggested this draconian measure needs to consider justifying his/her existence in a more sensible and intelligent manner!. I never realised when I returned to live on the Island it had it had become a police state! I, along with many dog owners I know on here and the mainland, are very angry indeed. Those who live on the mainland will no longer come. The price of ferries is bad enough but this would absolutely be the last straw! The council should put more energies into the litter left in our streets and recreation grounds.

This is such a terrible idea. As a family we love nothing else but taking our dog onto the beach in the Isle of Wight. If we can no longer do this we won’t come to the island at all. We spend 3-4 weeks a year on the island spending lots in local pubs, hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions. This is a sure way to harm the tourist industry and the income that many visitors with dogs bring to the island.

There are much bigger issues than wasting time and money worrying about dogs in public places, the council should address other more critical tourism issues.

Don't just keep our Island dog friendly, but make it stronger and attract even more dog owners to the island to help increase our economy

Enforce regulations against bad behaviour rather than a blunderbuss ban. A Google search shows how dog-friendly beaches are used to market the Island.

There is no need to change this. It works fine and allows many people to get a huge amount of pleasure

After 50 years of walking a dog on these Seaview beaches, I can see no reason why such a sociable and healthy activity should now be banned. I urge you to reconsider.

Very shortsighted choking off yet another part of the idyllic daily life that keeps so many locals and visitors contentedly on the island
