i attended my first year at UofA Law. Hello My Friend is actually one of the things I often cite which made the building feel like ours.

this closure would subtract from an already fading sense of community in the faculty of law.

An institution. A neighbour. A University of Alberta rite of passage. But more importantly, a friend. The U of A experience would not be the same with Steve.

Hello my friend Cafe is a wonderful contribution to the university of Alberta community. His kind energy, positive and excellent prouds and services is a highlight of the law students experience, which I know my peers and I all truly appreciated throughout our J.D. Program. He is a part of our community and student experience. The university will not be the same without him there.

Not only a staple for Law students but Arts students as well. Steve has been a huge supporter of the Fine Arts programs and it would be an injustice to shut down such a wonderful LOCAL business.

My law school experience would not have been the same without Steve's "Hello My Friend Cafe" and I feel bad for future UofA law students who won't have the pleasure of interacting with one of the nicest people I've ever met. Steve's late night trips to stock up his cafe with snacks and coffee after hours, in particular, were integral to my success during stressful exam periods.

This would be a step toward the utter dehumanization of this law school. This MUST NOT HAPPEN!!!

Steve is what keeps law students alive, coffee, of course. But it is Steve's spirit - his kindness and generosity that truly keep us all grounded. I can't express enough how important Steve's little cafe has been to my experience of law school.

people like Steve are the face of university life .. what he gives is what no institution can buy. You should be proud of him and nominating him for excellence awards instead of bowing to whatever corporate interest is seducing you.

Steve is treasure and a fixture of your experience at the U of A, from his days in HUB Mall to the relocation to Faculty of Law. He served me many a time between 2004-2007, and he remains as attached to my memories at the U of A as to anything else. We should celebrate and support this man and his business - his positivity and smile was a far better learning and growth opportunity than most of the faculty and courses that were ever offered.
