To have Allen ISD issue coronavirus quarantine policy
⚠️Attention north DFW residents ⚠️
Please sign and share this petition to keep our schools healthy, kids and families safe.
Our surrounding districts have issued a policy requesting people traveled to coronavirus-highly-spread-countries to stay home for 14 days before returning to school. However, Allen ISD stated that they will NOT issue such policy at this time.
The spring break is only one week. I’m afraid if we wait till people come back to school directly from CDC risk level 2 & 3 countries next week, it’d be too late.
As of March 7, the current list includes China, Iran, Italy, South Korea and Japan.
I am highly concerned about our kids’ safety. Coronavirus is extremely contagious! It is different from the common cold or flu! If people who came back from CDC risk level 2 & 3 countries don’t report and quarantine themselves, the virus will likely to spread in AISD schools and in surrendering communities.
Everyone, I encourage you to sign and share this petition, in effort to persuade AISD to change their minds. Thank you for helping keeping our kids and community healthy and safe!
