Allow family to visit residents at nursing homes. We want to be able to see our love. With the flu season approaching we'll never get to see our love ones alive.

Please let’s get this done!

My Dad is in the Long Island State Veteran’s Home. We have not been able to see him in almost six months, except for a window visit. Advocating for the Essential Family Caregiver visitation to be adopted in NY.

My mom has severe dementia she was doing well before the lock down now she’s worse and 100 lbs crying daily for me and anxious. Please let us be there as essential caregivers only one family member to go take care of them until this is over . And they should not have to be on their death bed to do this !!! They need us before THAT HAPPENS !!!!

Allow family to visit their loved ones. Enough!

My mom is 95. She is in solitary confinement is a Syracuse NY Nursing Home. She hasn't been outdoors since last year and summer is over. As her needs increased I changed my schedule in order to be with her at least an hour every afternoon, 7 days per week. That way, we could get outdoors, I could help with her things in her room, I could give her nutritious home cooked food. Other days I planned a wheelchair call-a-bus and rode that with her to meet family at a restaurant for lunch. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren often stopped in to see her. We had family birthdays and holidays at the nursing home so it would include her, in her own home, like days gone by. She and I visited with other residents on her floor and we formed friendships there. Now, each resident is isolated, alone and suffering, indoors, and there is no end to this torture in sight. Staff wear protective gear so residents see only the gear and everyone they see is wearing that. Residents are neglected due to there being no established method of having an appropriate ratio of staff to residents. There is no oversight. When permanent assigned staff are out or re-assigned, it is strangers approaching them and they are all 'in disguise'. When protecting our most vulnerable means torturing them, something is very wrong. The story keeps changing about this virus. It isn't as it was initially presented and it is treatable with therapeutics appropriately prescribed. The political uses of this virus cannot be ignored. We are beyond flattening the curve and hospitals are not overwhelmed and per the CDC, the deaths from Covid19 were recently reconsidered and are much lower considering newer information. Many experts have good news but aren't the left wing political experts that want to shut down the country. So they get censored/silenced. there is also information on how 'masks', generally speaking, do no good and do harm to the wearer. My mom worked full time as soon as my little brothe

The elderly need and want the comfort in knowing their loved ones are there and haven't abandoned them. The family needs it as well. There are protests and demonstrations and riots with no social distancing and no masks, then let them have visitors.

Please...Our loved ones have been isolated for too long!!!!! Loneliness kills!!!

Please Help

Open the doors for us to see our loved ones or be prepared for us to break them down. You created this mess now STOP. there is no reasons why we can’t visit our loved ones just like the rest of the world is going about their lives. What are you hiding behind those locked doors.

Just a way to keep families from overseeing their loved ones care.

Finding a way to make this happen is important for everyone's mental health, too.

Please give the immediate family access to their loved ones. Also hold the staff accountable for the patients that they are mandates to comply with this situation. Their personal hygiene and wellness attributes to the health and wellness of the patients. The patient and families are beginning to suffer greatly from this situation. Please find compassion and find a solution.

Please allow some sort of personal visits - it is so important for patients and family
