To allow visitation at NYS Nursing Homes, without having to be 28 days Covid-free.

My 94 year old grandma is in Glendale Nursing home - she hasn’t left her room nor have we seen her since March. Thank goodness for window visits but it’s time for real visits. These wonderful people need their family! Please please please change the rules!!!

The elderly need family support

Please do the right thing and let loved ones have limited, safe visitations with their family members. This extended period of isolation has been detrimental to hundreds of nursing home residents.

My brother has been in a memory care unit since end of Feb. My family hasn’t seen him since mid Feb. it is impatience for his cognitive ability to be around his family. He has greatly declined since COVID. I’m pleading with you to please make amends to this order to give patients and families some time together!

mom is going out of her mind and this is killing her. If she goes to the doctors for a very important test then she has to go by her self and then stay in room for 14 days again. If she doesn't go then she could get very sick if something is wrong. She doesn't want to be locked up she says with no nurses . Is this what you are telling our parents.

Please open these nursing homes restrictions!!!

My brother is in the Terisian house and we haven’t seen him in about 5 months. He needs us. Let us in!!!

We are a large family & our brother was used to seeing at least one of us or more everyday. We would take him out to eat at least once a week. We need to see him, he needs to see us. He gets depressed when we can’t see him. The quality of life for nursing home residents should be considered as well as wearing masks, taking temps & washing hands. After all this time someone should have found a way to keep our family members safe while having visitors!!, Please do the right thing.

I signed because the elderly need to see and interact with their loved ones. It is very depressing for most of them being there and to not be able to see their family is beyond heartbreaking. Of course, being smart and taking all necessary care to not transfer COVID-19 is number one. But our elderly should be number one as well.

If rules were set in place for visitors to abide by such as wearing masks, being separated by partitions and temperatures being taken on arrival & whatever else is expected can work, there is no reason not to see our loved ones.

Never forget the humane aspect of nursing home care. Visitation is vital to our loved ones.

We haven't visited our brother since March, and he gets so depressed, this is not good for his health. He has all his faculties and should be permitted to come outside on a nice day and sit with at east 2 of us. We would all wear our masks and social distance. This needs to happen sooner than later.

At least outdoor visits should be allowed in facilities that have outdoor space, where people can safely visit with masks and at more than 6 feet.

Our family joins everyone in this appeal. Our precious loved ones deserve our personal care. They need to hear our voices and just know we're there. Please revise these near impossible to achieve rules. The quality of life of thousands of residents and family members is greatly affected by your decisions. Please do the right thing.

Please allow families in to see their loved ones in nursing homes.

We will never meet the 28 day requirement with 600 staff & residents. There must be a better way than the window or skyping with a person who is non verbal. This is killing my mother.
