To allow visitation at NYS Nursing Homes, without having to be 28 days Covid-free.

please relax the 28 day rule. It is devestating our family members.

Do it safely.

This request is not unreasonable.

People should be allowed visit their families and friends safely. To some people this is all they have to look forward to

Family comes first and so I feel strongly that the rules should be relaxed.

Why hurt the person and family in this manner

28 days is an eternity for many folks in nursing home facilities. Why should anyone be denied visits to these folks. Isolation is for criminals not the elderly and infirm.

It’s time to stop treating our LO like prisoners. It is definitely not their fault that nursing homes were forced to accept COVID-19 patients.

Family is the most important thing in life.

Family visits don’t put residents at any more risk than staff. Wear a mask, wash your hands, social distance and stay home if you don’t feel well.

with the proper social distancing, I believe residents of nursing homes should be allowed visitors to keep them feeling as if they are not alone

The elderly do not understand these unprecedented times we are living in. Having visits from family is crucial to their well being ,

If prisoners can have people visit then nursing homes should be open to visitors . The Canada government did a study that the benefits of visits from family far outweighed the threat of CO-VID. Outside visits with proper PPE should be permitted. My mother-in-law is 91 years old and contracted COVID in May. She has survived but still can't have visitors. They don't even allow patients to have fans or open a window in this heat. It is just cruel.

I think elderly needs visits from their family in person, hopefully outside
