Visitation outside should be allowed. It is possible now during the summer/fall and it is easier to ensure social distancing protocols are maintained outdoors. Not to mention that keeping the residents locked indoors is inhumane and dangerous to their health (physical and mental). Seadonal Affective Disorder, Depression, Vitamin D deficiency and other ailments can and are resulting from this prolonged indoor isolation. They need to go outside. They need to see their loved ones. We need them as well.

Its more dangerous for Elderly not to see their family then the virus..Plus how longer do we have with them? I want to spend as much time with my mom as possible

Let us safely visit them outside during the warmer months.

With proper social distancing, temperature checks and the wearing of masks visiting our loved ones in the nursing home is possible. Gov.Cuomo's 28 day Covid free standard is impossible to meet and in practice means that I will not be able to see my mom for the foreseeable future. This is outrageous. Let us visit!!

This is insane! Family visits don’t put residents at any more risk than staff. Wear a mask, wash your hands, social distance and stay home if you don’t feel well.

If nursing home employees can come and go from the facility, there should be a way to allow people to see their family.

Being alone in a facility no matter your age is cruel for the patient and torture for the family. Enough.

Allow visitation. This is criminal and inhumane. People are dying alone. My father survived the virus, he needs to see his family.

This is much needed to help both family and patient to cope with this difficult time.

Their mental health is being ignored. Having the presence of loved ones is the best medicine. I support making the change.
