The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms and was adopted on December 15, 1791, as part of the first ten amendments contained in the Bill of Rights. We need to protect our children and our teachers. We live in a day where school shootings are happening on a regular basis. Our teachers must be properly trained and educated in the event of an emergency. If you sign this petition you agree that teachers should be able to protect themselves as well as our children and carry a firearm while at school, during school hours. If one or two teachers per campus were properly trained and carried firearm on their person, it could save many innocent lives. It’s better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it.
