The vile langauge and tantrums are far worse for tennis than extra time taken
by a player provided it is not overt gamesmanship.

I completely agree with this petition. As a tennis fan, all I want to see is all the players treated fairly and that certainly isn't happening right now.

Count me in as a tennis fan who is appalled at the behaviour of some players which goes unpunished, even is encouraged, while a minor transgression of taking a couple of seconds too long to serve is held up to be the biggest sin in tennis these days. Get your head out of the sand, people.

More penalties for bad behavior, please -- time between points is not an issue with today's game.

Too obvious how penalties handed out at most crucial times in matches for only one player.. Ie r nadal
Have some equity. This undermines the credibility of the entire sport

Please scrap this ridiculous rule - fans want to be entertained. Long and exciting rallies are great for the game and the players need to then take extra time between serves. ATP umpires - please start to give racket abuse and swearing violations to the many players who deserve them

This rule is completely out of date - the long rallies of today need much more time to recover from than the old style serve & volley play that used be the norm.

The rule as it is applied gives rise to the possibility of match-fixing, with point penalties applied at critical points.

umpires need to be more consistent with the time rule. It should not be enforced only at critical moments in a match! And why doesn't bad behavior/language get penalized? It's not fair.

Men's slams should get the 25 seconds and the best of three sets shoukd get the 20 seconds, or all should get 25 seconds.

Remember the 52 shot rally at the 2013 USO Final between Rafa and No am? And the response of the audience after that? (Standing ovation, mad cheering, sheer amazement from the commentators?). And you expect a player to serve within 20 seconds after a point like that? Or do you prefer ace after ace after ace, which essentially is not tennis?

The time violation rule is applied unfair influencing the outcome of matches. Bad language and smashing racquets are worse. Please don't destroy tennis with this stupid rule.

The rule should be enforced during the whole match for every player with a visible shot clock, other than that it's institutionalized cheating by the governing bodies by influencing the outcome of matches against one particular player.
