This petition is to support Tim Farley's application to become New York State's next Education Commissioner. Tim is currently the principal of the Ichabod Crane Elementary/Middle School in Valatie, New York, and he has been an educator for 23 years. He is certified in Earth Science, Special Education, and has a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Administration. His passion for public education has led him to testify in front of the New York State Senate and Assembly and share his concerns regarding the Regents Reform Agenda. He is determined to continue his efforts to reclaim the public schools from the profiteers and billionaires.

If you want real improvements in education, Tim Farley is the man to get it done! Have known Tim most of my life and have also worked with him in my capacity as an education advocate for students with disabilities. His passion and know-how as an educator is exceptional. Our schools need Tim Farley as Commissioner of Eduction.

Having an educator as Commissioner of Education is the only valid solution. Chancellor Tisch needs to recognize that her veiled attempts to de-rail the institution of Public Education is now obvious. Make Farley NYSED Commissioner.

it's very overwhelming being an older parent of a 6 year old and trying to understand how all testing and homework works in favor a the child. And as a parent, being older, i feel a little stupid trying to understand. thanks tim for helping me understand that the teachers are feeling the same way.

It's time to put america back on track across the board, by putting people in place with the proper experience for the job. Tim Farley is such a person : parent, school teacher, principal, someone in the trenches that actually understands what needs to be done. He is the perfect person for the position of State Education Commissioner.

As a 28 year veteran, I applaud Mr. Farley's application. His vision and courage is EXACTLY what NYS needs. Now, if only the members of the Board of Regents will be as courageous.

After having 2 kids graduate out with fantastic educations and a senior with also a fantastic education, I am very worried about my youngest child. She is also extremly bright and this math is garbage. I doubt she will reach the levels of her siblings under these new standards and terrible curriculum.

we need someone who will listen to the concerns of the majority of parents, teachers, students and administrators.
