Tighter regulations for Kentucky commercial fishing

We need to make it a sports fish. 1 over 35 inch per person and commercial guys the same.

i fish for catfish 1 to 2 days a week.when i take my vacation i go to alabama to spend my money .if thing dont change ill be moving there when i retire to guid full time

It needs to stop

We have to put stronger regulations on our catfish and stiffer fines the commercial fishermen that violate the laws. To be honest j see no real need for commercial fishing on the ohio river anyway.... All you ever hear is how high the levels in the river are and how unfit the fish in the river are to eat. So that being said where's the market for the catfish other then PAYLAKES? We have to STOP it now before it's too late!!

Please put some regulatins on the catfish no need to keep letting the comercial fisherman take the big catfish out of the rivers if it keeps up there will be none left let the paylakes dry up they just let them die anyway so put a stop to it

We need to slow this process or we won't even have catfish to fish for and the commercial fisherman will be out of work in a few short years. How can anyone not see that?

CatFish that are fished from the river should stay in the river. Hope for there to be trophy size catfish for my children and grandchildren. also believe they can help slow down ads asain carp that is completely destroying the eco system.

Fish should not be taken from public rivers,streams and lakes and put in private pay lakes to make profit this is not fair and just sounds wrong shame on my home state for even allowing this happen

From Arizona and can see the harm these Kentucky regs are doing to our sport, even our AZGF Dept wonders why these regs are not stiffer and better enforced, the catfishing world eyes are watching a great fishery ruined by commercial fishermen stocking paylakes with little concern for the sportsmen, sad to see even from afar !!!

Please put a stop to the over harvesting of catfish for profit. None of gods creatures should be treated this way.

Catfishing has been a passion for many anglers and is a continually growing sport. Regulators to preserve these fisheries is a must for the future of the sport, the fish and our following generations of young anglers. As catfisherman we take pride in fishing for these river giants and show the upmost respect towards them in being able to make those once in a lifetime catches followed by being able to release those fish back into the wild. Step up and male the necessary changes to protect catfish and the sport. Thank you!

They should have to restock our rivers with paylake fish and fine the pay lakes for over stocking there lakes with trophy fish. Seems it's all about money these days anyway.

Just saw this week where a local paylake called Tims paylake stocked a 105 pound blue catfish in their trophy pond. Another post today said they would soon be stocking several fish in the 50-60 pound range and a couple in the 80 range. It's a shame that these fish were obviously caught by commercial means and dont get to continue to spread there genetics to our public waters.

The senseless act of removing a public resource for private profit needs ended yesterday, we all must come together and unite to make this happen.

Shut down paylakes that don't use farm raised Fish. A wild fish should remain in its environment.

This definitely needs to stop now.
