Subject: An appeal for action
As you may not be aware, I came to know of a very disturbing incident that happened in our Tibetan community in India: the shocking humiliation of a young Tibetan lady at Tenzingang Tibetan Settlement, Bomdila in Arunachal Pradesh, India. Sometime in the month of July, 2011, Rinzin was beaten and stripped naked in public by Tenzin Chodup (President of Tibetan Freedom Movement) and Dorjee Gyaltsen (TMCS Staff) for her illicit romance with a married man. Few days ago, a video was released of this alarming incident and watched by some in India. While all this sounds hard to believe, the Settlement Office let the two culprits go with a small fine.
As a human being and a responsible Tibetan citizen, I would like to request you to thoroughly investigate this incident and give the young woman the fair trial she deserves. I demand that everyone involved in this horrendous act be reported to the Indian Police immediately and be tried in the strictest manner possible. Of course, we cannot take away the humiliation that Rinzin faced as a result of the misuse of power by those in authority, but we can voice our opinions and try to bring civil justice to this poor victim.
Under your administration, I am hoping for a change, a change that starts with these small acts.

This guy should be punished..... No matter whatever that woman did, that's her personal matter, he ain't got no right to do this kind of things..
