I come from Trestle Glen to use this post office b/c it is one of the only ones anywhere with a self serve kiosk. It is always busy.

We need our Post Office - it's so busy every time I am there, there is a huge volume of customers who will be forced to wait even longer at the remaining PO's, and travel further, to conduct everyday business. This is an added hardship and extra costs (gas, time) on our community, as well as the communities of the remains PO's.

Please keep this post office open! This post office allows seniors living in Piedmont Gardens to walk to the post office. Many residents don't have cars, and would have difficulty getting to other post offices.

Please keep post office where it is! Many people in the area use it as they do not have cars.

Real people work at this post office. Losing the post office means putting people out of work. It's a detriment to the neighborhood and to the real live people who work there.

new condos won't do for our community what the post office already does. This post office is like the circulatory system of a body and the condos are like a tumor. Please help keep our neighborhood healthy!

The Piedmont Post Office is vital to our neighborhood, it is conveniently located and heavily used. It would be a big loss to the community.

I use this post office frequently, and there are always many other community members there taking advantage of the services offered whenever I go. Please keep this post office open for all of us to continue using; it provides important services to our community.

This post office is crucial and central to our neighborhoods. It serves many regions. Most of the population use it very often as the location is convenient. We object to the dismissal of the access to this convenient location. Instead of removing it, why isn't it incorporated within the planned development--a store front?

Please save the post office here. It is heavily used and relied upon by the neighborhood. The nearest alternative post office, between Grand Ave. & Lakeshore, would become ridiculously over-worked and over-crowded. Other alternatives, Montclair or West Oakland are at least, a 15 to 25 minute or more drive, depending on traffic. Disappear a well-used neighborhood post office to build condos? It does not seem like an idea that serves this neighborhood. Please reconsider. Or at least do right by the neighborhood and please find a new local Piedmont spot for the post office within walking distance from the current one.

I hope the powers that be will reconsider the move to close our post office. The neighborhood is rapidly expanding with new construction of several apartment buildings. We will need more rather than less services !

Oakland seriously needs this location. Authorized passport processing, accessible for the many elderly residents in area. Other locations close by are seriously overcrowded and understaffed with little to no available parking. Give us a break!

The Piedmont Post Office is vital to its neighbors and patrons. Build condos elsewhere, and leave this highly utilized post office be.

I live near the Rose Garden and use the Piedmont Station. Please let it continue to operate as it has been. Thanks!

This is the only post office I use, even though there's one closer to my home. Please, please don't close it!
