Threatened Loss of Piedmont Station, U.S. Post Office, Oakland CA 94611

I have used this post office countless times and also to renew my passport for over 20 years. It is vital to our community!

this post office has been a very important facility for my business and my private correspondence for so many years I can't count. it would be a hardship to lose this Post office for so so many folks. Please don't close it!!!

Piedmont Post Office is great! It's always busy. It helps small businesses on Piedmont Ave. It's a beautiful old building.

Please do not allow this post office to be closed. I walk there at least three days a week and I doubt I could walk to the nearest other post office!

I live at 4225 Glen Ave and use this post office once a month. It is extremely convenient having a neighborhood post office and I hope that it will remain present to serve this community.

In addition to a thriving walking community of residents and employees (at Kaiser, in particular), there is a large population of senior citizens that is served by this post office. Please keep it open.

I agree with all points raised in this petition. Keep the post office, Oakland is already well on its way to increasing the kind of housing proposed, and the loss of the post office location would be a net loss for the vibrancy and ECONOMIC health of the neighborhood.

Post Offices are a very important element to any healthy neighborhood. We need to keep our 41st Post Office where it is now or someplace near-by. Developers should be willing to build what the area needs, and not just think about making money for themselves.

Although I live closer to the PO on Lake Park Ave, I much prefer Piedmont as Lake Park is terribly crammed, no matter what time of day. Unimaginable how bad that will get if Piedmont closes.

Do NOT close this post office, please. We are already at third world levels of service. Our postal service is still a vital government function!
